How does the "Do Not Call"
law work?

Federal Trade Commission (FTC) maintains the lists...
The FTC maintains the national lists of phone numbers NOT to call in
over 315 huge files sorted by area code. A problem arises when you need
to search one of these AC files looking for one number in a file that
might contain more than a million numbers. You also have to update the
files you use every 31 days. The FTC will let you download upto 5 different
AC files for free and then they charge you for any files over 5 that you
subscribe to...

Note:
On October 1 and again on October 12 a new vendor has changed the format
of the FTC federal area code files and the code on the FTC's website pages.
The current version 3.00.13 will import and function with the new file
format but the "automatic" features are currently under "reconstruction".

patience is appreciated!
